Tired of the deceptive advertising that takes ticketing fees from the venues and charges them to patrons in order to market their ticketing as free, this site was developed as a self-service, philanthropic endeavor. The only fee charged to a registered non-profit venue for ticketing is whatever their card processor charges.  ShowTixNow charges $0.00.

The site owner has been in community theatre over 40 years and has been doing box office since 2010, having used some of the large ticketing agencies prior to developing ShowTixNow.
